Lubna AbdelHaq is a senior consultant at Advvise. She has over 14 years of experience in media and communications having worked with some of the most reputable companies in the region.
Starting her career as a journalist, AbdelHaq was one of the top business writers at Al Arab Al Yawm a Jordanian daily newspaper. During that period AbdelHaq covered major events including the World Economic Forum, the World Bank and IMF meetings and wrote feature stories and investigative reports. In 2002 she was invited by the U.S. government along with a number of senior journalists from across the Arab world to Washington D.C. for meetings with administration officials marking the first anniversary of September 11.
With a strong media background, AbdelHaq made the shift to the field of Public Relations, working with some of the biggest international communications firms. Working out of Dubai she worked with Bain Euro RSG, and Bates Span Gulf, an affiliate of Burson-Marsteller a leading global public relations and communications firm with affiliates in over 81 countries. Among her clients were some of the world´s top brands such as Starbucks, The Body Shop, Galaxy Smith Kline, and ARAMEX.
AbdelHaq moved up to management as Media Manager at Zain Jordan, the country’s leading telecommunications provider. Besides taking part in the company’s successful rebranding, her efforts played an important in maintaining Zain’s position as the top award-winning brand in the country.
